For last year a club nearby got Shane Dowrich for last year and this year i think. He is currently keeping for barbados in the caribbean t20. He hit some blistering hundreds in the 2012 season.

Looks handy! He looks a proper pro who has been around even for his age so should be able to batter most league attacks!

Ouch! hundreds in both games. Nothing like playing a team and having the same guy make you chase leather both halfs of the season!

In India I have been played The cricket association of Bengal (under 15A Bengal player). Calcutta University sports board. School zone cricket. School sub division cricket.  School district cricket. Friends sporting union cricket club. Paik Para sporting club. Tollygunj aggragami cricket club.
In last season I did UK safeguarding sports course during the stay in UK.

Hengrove. Struggled to raise a team for the last 3 years, so called it a day. Just got to decide where to go to next.

That is a shame - played quite a few games against your lot in the late 90's when at my old club.

Yea I saw it had become a struggle of late for Hengrove, tough times with several clubs struggling for numbers.
If you or any other guys at the club are interested my club are always looking for new players but I'm sure you will have plenty of options

With us losing our ground to the football team it became a struggle and trying to sell frys as your home pitch with poor facility's never helped. Plus the bad weather puts people off especially last season with 4 games being cancelled half way thru the match.

Luckily I have an option if going to 1 of 3 teams.

Thecord, who do you play for?

How do most of you source your overseas these days?
Agents, play-cricket, personal contacts with clubs?
I came over via play-cricket back in 2004 and it worked well for both me and the club but was thinking of trying to set up an exchange program between Aus & UK clubs...so I'd only get involved in first exchange then hopefully the relationship between the clubs would continue....

Having not had an overseas last year we've got a Kiwi lad coming over, apparently he's an all rounder, and played for Berkhamstead CC last season.

We've got some really well developed contacts around Hawkes Bay so generally we get Kiwis.
