this being a customBATS forum I always wondered wether there are more batsman on the forum ? however we do talk about cricket in general :) let the voting begin :D
i start of with me being a bowler
-
There's no option for joey/fielder!
-
done :)
-
batsman and a wicket keeper?
-
ok ill set it so you can vote twice
-
nah i cant do it once ive made the poll :/
-
Batsman who stands behind stumps as well(juat started)
-
done :)
Finally, a victory for those of us that bat 9,10,11 and don't bowl haha. With the collapse of the third XI, I'll be the joey/fielder for the 2nd XI if needed
-
All rounder and part time keeper??
-
yeah sorry guys it isnt letting me set it so people can vote for 2 options, choose your strongest :)
dissapointed by the number of bowlers :(
-
Just put an all rounder bit
-
Mainly a top order batsman although can bowl reasonable seamers and am a competent wicket keeper at the level I play.
-
Allrounder :D
-
I went for allrounder for two reasons:
1 - I'm equally good/bad at batting, bowling and fielding
2 - I'm round in shape :D
-
What about the 'No-Rounder' option?
Ooops, i guess Joey covers it.
I opted for keeper by the way. I bat in the top 5 too, but thought i better shore up the votes to keep the keepers union strong.
-
All round faliure :(
-
hah seems some members need a cricket self esteem boost :')
-
Well im a joey. I'm classed as a.batsman and bat 4/5 but my posts on the other thread show I am clearly a.joey.
Also im joeylough for a reason.
Trying my hand at keeping next season....
-
Wicket keeping batsman.
-
Defo a bowler and fielder..
with the ball all i can do it hit it hard and go out, dont know how to stop!
-
Am I seriously 1 of 2 joeys/fielders out of the current votes cast? I think I will have to have a long hard look into my game.....
-
Keeper who likes to think he can bat a bit
-
Keeper batsman but can also bowl legspin
-
Opening bat, thogh not sure how I've managed to keep that façade going...
Can also bowl trundlers. Think Paul Collingwood, only with less pace, without the swing and without the knack of taking wickets (although I did take a hat trick last year)...
-
I went for Joey/fielder.
I bat about as well as I bowl, in that most of the time it's duff, but occasionally I'll have a good game and score a few runs/get a couple of wickets.
My 2012 stats
10 Matches,
9 Innings, 59 runs (high score of 29!!)
2 overs, 2 wickets for 10 runs (both skied to mid wicket!) Why only 2 overs in 10 matches, because it was the last game and everyone had to bowl and I exhibited absolutely no form in nets/practices, and still don't this year!!
-
Definitely a batsman, never really got the hang of this bowling lark.
Opening batsman, hoping to continue improving this year, last year was difficult with games getting cancelled every other week (go weather!), but did score a few runs.
-
All rounder - off spin bowler and middle order strokemaker (some may say slogger!!!) :)
-
All round faliure :(
Haha. Thats me!
In my younger days I fancied myself as an all rounder.
Had my first go against the bowling machine a couple of weeks ago, set the speed at 60mph and couldn't get my feet moving! Gave up after a bucket and half, I then watched my 11 year old son spank the ball about the same speed.
I didn't know weather to laugh or cry.
-
All rounder for me, Off spin(ish) darts and middle order bat at no. 3/4/5!
-
Batsman/wicket keeper myself. Opening bat. Used to bowl some medium pace swing bowling that kissed the surface but have had some ankle problems last couple of years. Do still bowl occassionaly but standard military medium or off spin these days but only in the odd Sunday game if one of the colt keepers is playing
-
claimed all rounder.
batted from last to opening and have bowled a few overs when needed (nearly a maiden once if it wasnt for my 2 wides)
but with my batting progressing my current strength would be my fielding. anywhere and everywhere i think im a safe pair of hands. more catches than drops.
-
All-rounder
Slow Left Arm and 5/6 Bat
