Title: The greatest Kit bargain of all time
Post by: SOULMAN1012 on January 14, 2013, 11:39:55 PM
Right guys with all the sales and deals being offered just wanted to see what's the greatest deal, bargain that forum members have ever got? And have you still got them??

I managed to pick up a Gray Nicolls Evo Carbo 2 seasons ago from a sports direct store in Manchester from memory for £65, and I have a pair of Gunn & Moore L.E pads youth size from eBay for 99p. Bat is with my brother at Uni and pads are at my club somewhere.

From the sports direct factory outlet - Gm 909 d30 pads £5 GM gloves 909 D30 £8 =£13
Slight damage to pads 1 minute fix - gloves no bag n logo stitching was poor!

Otherwise this might be the best deal I've got

Where is a sports direct outlet? Those prices are crazy!

Yeh it's Mansfield! You can get football shirts for £5 as well! It is hit and miss though as there is a lot of real tat there the bargains just appear magically! These were the highlights but you can get bags for basically nothing as well! Bought some running shoes that were 90 down to 10 as no box and missing one lace

I believe It's basically a massive sports direct, so it will be a typical jumble sale. I believe all sale/clearance items (and maybe everything) gets distributed from there in terms of online sales.

It's sports direct clearance and damaged store, any imperfections are sent there, things like a football top with the name printed in the wrong colour text, cricket bat with a sticker missing. You get some amazing bargains, but it's a bit like walking into what I'd imagine a lidl in the middle of Baghdad after another plane strike would look like

I picked up a Slazenger V23 from Rebel Sports here in Australia a few years back reduced from $399 to $99 as stickers were coming off and the grip was dirty.  Amazing bat.

And I also picked up a pair of Asics Gel Gully 2 spikes for $40.00 in their last year's stocktake sale.  That was a bargain.

I always think of the Dark Knight Brimble on this one...40 sheets for a poorly advertised coffin with a load of Laver & Wood kit on ebay.

Was interesting to see him punt it on for a really silly amount, if only to see the sort of BS that accompanied his ebay ads!
