Hi,
After Reading around and checking pictures out on this forum.
I Finally decided that i should try out one of the H4L bats.
After Talking with Matt he told me to go for Hattori because i want a lower middle bat which suits my play style more.
I was abit worried if the bat will live up to my expectations, because i have a hammer plat ST with 20straight grains and what a bat it is the ping on it is simply amazing.
Now Matt told me he had a cleft with half heartwood and tight grains which pings really nicely.
I told him thats fine with me.
I did end up ordering 2 hattori's 1 for me and one for my brother.
After receiving the bat from Matt i must say the pick up balance and finish is simply suprb.
What amazed me the most was that the bat was pinging better then my Hammer ST.
And it still requires knocking in and will properly need some playing in.
What i asked Matt for was.
2.9
Lower middle
tight grains
if possible 35mm edges
minimal concaving.

These are the pictures Matt sent me.
I will take better pictures later tonight and upload.
I dont know how to post pictures here if anyone can help me il post them later tonight.
Sorry for my bad english.
Regards
Sammi

Welcome Wazi,
Are these top grade willow? How much did they set you back?

The Bird.
The one on the left is the pro ranked and the other one is regular g1.

That's better!! Does the bat justice, what is your hammer like?
-
Looks a beaut once you get to nets would be good to hear your thoughts and a review - maybe a back to back comparison with the hammer?
Thanks!

Feel free. We'd love you to review it, if you want to, although that's probably best in the hammer section.

Here are 2 pictures i toke of the Hammer once i got it.
The Ping on the hammer was simply out of this world ( everyone on my team wanted to use the bat :D )
I can only do a proper test with H4L once I've used it in nets and a game or 2.

Nice grains
where are these bats from?

No idea :(

the Hammer i mean. The Hattori's look nice. Although they profiles look a lot different to the original Hatorris that i thought were much more concaved. Only Jealous, but anyone else have a view. These have huge edge and a smaller spine. Nice grains, but technically these woudl be grade three, no? i wouldnt care if the ping was good.

I think Pro clefts are meant to ping well... That's the impression I get anyways! Just the top performing and low density cleft, as these are rarer than ones which look aesthetically nice I reckon. :)

Thought pro replaced LE
-
I think pro willow is more based on aesthetics rather than ping. From what I understand in terms of performance some of the 5* clefts go as well as the pro ones.
Hammer bats are from the US

That Hammer looks UK made, where most of you suspect.

Wazi, don't apologise for your English - it is excellent!

Thanks Epbs :D
-
Wazi looks like you have a smashing bat! I'm going to see Matt on Monday (weather permitting) to pick one of these bad boys out.
-
too many grains!!!

too many grains!!!
I like the numerous grains, the bat would look sooooo much better with the new hammer stickers though!
If not for the tiny blemish i bet it would've been much more expensive than it was.
-
#Rightarmrapid its the Plat version of the ST.
Paid top dollars for the hammer and H4L

I stand corrected! It's a gorgeous bat though.
