With my current gloves well past their prime and the new pair I had ordered not yet arrived, I realised that I needed some new gloves for my game this weekend!
So after uni I headed to the Greg Chappell clayton store, which is down the road from my uni. The store isn't as well stocked as the city store but it served its purpose.
After looking around for a while and trying on a few different gloves I settled on a pair of Adidas Adipower Small Mens gloves. This decision somewhat surprised me as I hadn't ever really rated adidas cricket gear. I was pleasantly surprised however, the gloves are a nice fit, appear to offer good protection and already seem quite flexible, which is good. They have v-split fingers and leather palms with pittard wear patches. Hopefully they go alright for me.
Here are some quick pics.

gloves look good. not a big fan of the multi-coloured wrist band though. how much did that set you back?
-
Yeah, the wristband is the only part I really don't like.
They cost me about $60, which isn't too bad.
-
AUD 60 with pittards they on special?
-
Mate I wish!! But as far as I can tell they are not actually full pittards.
As I mentioned earlier I'm pretty sure the majority of the palm is standard leather, but the black patches are pittards. (there is a close up photo above)
I didn't even actually realise that they had any pittard leather at all, until I was at home taking the photos.
I've actually noticed that the majority of gloves available in Aus, unless they are from a uk brand like gm, don't have pittard palms even on their top models.

Yep hardly any pittards to be found at the GCCC, Kangaroo leather is used by Kooka though.

Yeah, its K leather on top Kooks or pittards on something like a GM, otherwise all we get down here is the standard stuff. Not fair..
I wouldn't mind a pair of the k leather kooks though, I've got the keeping gloves with the k leather and they are awesome. I'd imagine they make a decent palm on a batting glove.

LOL i was about to run off to the store if that was the case!
Yeah we don't get pittard and its more expensive

I used these gloves today and I am very happy with my purchase. Comfortable and flexible, looking forward to getting some more use out of them :)
