Title: Anyone got a good pictoral guide to bowling an off-cutter?
Post by: FattusCattus on January 21, 2013, 09:21:17 PM
Technically it's actually a left-armers leg cutter 'cos I'm a left armer, but I can just mirror the instructions for a right-arm offcutter.

It would be handy if there were any details on the grip, and the action on releasing the ball?

It's similar to a spinner but fingers and wrist remain upright.I drag the fingers down the side of the ball on release, normally with a tilted seam.

So as per the pic above, but with the seam perhaps tilted to 11 instead of 12?

yep, I also have my fingers closer together like an outswinger. That just preference and I do have chubby little fingers so grip is at a premium  :)
