Hi ! I wanted some batting tips, I generally miss many balls outside off stump. What should I do to overcome my weakness ? And how to keep the ball on the ground while playing shots and not to toss it up in the air ?
Help Needed !
Thanks.

Record yourself batting mate, it's a lot easier to pin point strengths and weaknesses with something to watch.

Some would say that this is a strength! ;)

I think it would be in Tests ;)
Not T20's or ODI's !

As advised by (The-Bird) record your batting, this will give you good idea. May be you are trying to hit too hard.

If you are missing the ball completely, then it would suggest to me that you are not getting your front foot in line with the ball /moving your feet to play your shot.

The most important thing is to get your head in line with ball. If you do this, your feet should follow automatically. Try and play as late as possible, this should help keep the ball on the ground and also help with your timing.

If you miss the ball a lot its because you eyes are not very good, or you're not watching the ball very well. even if your not near it you should still be able to hit it!
As for keeping the ball on the ground it depend on the shot you are playing....
Basically this is a bad question because it to Vaughan - try asking a more specific one, the answer you get will be more helpful.
Good luck
