Title: Whats new in the world of Red Ink!
Post by: Red Ink Cricket on January 22, 2013, 08:10:28 PM
Well after an eventful few weeks including digging myself out of the workshop after a mammoth bat making session and tidying and improving the workshop i though i would update everyone on whats new with us.

The website is progressing and i hope to have this live in the next few weeks. I will be looking for a few people to test the site for me and give feedback on what they think. The Red Ink twitter followers are growing and facebook is also proving popular. I hope to be improving the coverage on both of these in the near future as well as a few useful features which will appear on the site.

I was hoping to have 3 models this year but unfortunately the sticker designs aren't quite there so we will remain at 2 for this season with the current branding/stickers. The Pyro will remain, the flagship model of the brand has been popular and hopefully will continue to be so. The LE in its current format (offset edges, mild concaving with large profile) is to be removed for this year. this will still be available to purchase on request but will not be openly marketed. This will return when the new stickers have arrived (probably for 2014) and will be sporting a brand new name. The New LE will replace this for the time being although will also be going through a rebrand when the stickers are ready (again probably 2014). The new shape is a very traditional one, thinner edges than the Pyro although still meaty, large swell and no concaving.

Hopefully we will also have some middling bats available as well.

Below are a couple of pictures to show the two bats.

The Pyro - black and red grip, 35mm edges, 50mm approx spine weighing 2lb9 with a thick spiral as shown. bowed with a concaved profile

The LE - silver and black grip, 26mm edges 55mm approx spine weighting 2lb10 with a thick spiral. slightly bowed with no concaving.

Just a few pics of some of the clefts we have in stock at the moment. some already have homes but plenty to go around.

thanks.

I must admit i do love the shape. Pick up is really good and im looking forward to having one of these in the kit bag aswell. I normally use the pyro which suits my game but am definately going to try this out in the nets.
