I saw Jenko's BB Lam post and remembered that I promised Mike I would post some pics and do a little review of the second twin.
Now I won't make it a secret that I umm'd and arrr'd for a while before buying this as I had recently bought a Lam which was around 2.13 and a little bottom heavy for my liking. Anyway, I decided to take the plunge - This one comes in at 2lb 11oz dead but the pick up is the important bit. With the bigger, higher middle this feels light and well balanced.
I would say Jenko's is possibly a little more aesthetically pleasing but since I'm curious about the performance more than the looks, I soon got over that. Being completely honest it’s too early to tell what the rebound is really like but having tapped up a new and used ball, and a mallet the ping does sound as good as any of my other bats.
As much as I hate preparing bats, I will get to work on this myself shortly – partly because I don't want it machine pressed. Of course I would like to get as much life out of this bat but performance is the number one priority.
I will update with more details once I've prepared and used it in nets but until then... some pictures. Enjoy. (Taken on iPad so not the best...)

Looks lovely! Seems like a good profile, how big are the edges?
Compared to your older laminate how does this ping?

The edges are 35mm, older Lam edges were 40mm but then was heavier too.
This pings as well if not better. Like I said though the key difference for me is the way it picks up and feels compared to the other.

Good meaty bat. Does the LAM enhances the ping and if yes, to what extent? Can't wait further for mine, really the wait is getting longer and longer.
