Curious to know of any experiences of CA bats, I've been told they perform exceptionally as the willow is really dry and they get a lot of mass in the profile.
Also noticed Virat Kohli using one vs England today: http://www.espncricinfo.com/india-v-england-2012/content/image/601863.html?object=253802 (http://www.espncricinfo.com/india-v-england-2012/content/image/601863.html?object=253802)
Notice the CA 15000 anti scruff sheet.

What you've been told is true. Generally they do perform well, but don't have a huge amount of longevity.

looks like he is an SS man as well. Should not let him loose with tape.
-
They often need a rehandle as well.....
-
They are quite good, I have never seen a handle breakage of them so can't really comment on that front but overall they are quite good bats.
-
Was under the impression he used a GM and covered it up VERY badly?
See example

Kohli is using SS. CA bats are exceptional, they plays very well, i have 5 CA top range bats, amazing bats and all are huge edges, big profile bats and so far not faced any problem with the handles.
-
Have to agree with most about CA.
Some beauties with thick edges, but very dry. Don't last as long.
If you have the money to replace a bat often, then CA is a good choice.
Kohli must have got that bat from one of the pak players like Shoaib Malik.
Both teams seemed to have swapped some kit by the end of that tour with gul and misbah using SF/SS I think
-
They are the most popular brand with the Asian guys at my club and always seem to go well. They do use the high end models though.

Nasir Jamshed actually.
It is norm to swap gear, however, likes of Misbah Ul Haq, Nasir Jamshed, Umar Gul and Saeed Ajmal happened to get loads of SF softs whilst there stay in India.

I reckon it's about time you showed us your collection, especially your ca's as they have supreme grainage on them.
-
I have one that I got fairly cheaply, and have used it in one net session. It picks up nicely, and performs very well. I think I prefer it to my SS, even though its a bit heavier

Yeah Surely i will post some pics of my CA's for you mate. You got it right, all are good grainers.
-
Nothing wrong with the ca bats I have used and seen.
The handle issue is a bit like a wife's tale they tend not to breaks often nowadays.
Toe must be knocked in well though because ca tend to go from word one do not neglect the toe area which some do take care.
Like any bat if you look after it right it will tend to look after you
-
I had a CA a few years ago, went like hell. That was even youth I never bothered knocking it in.
Handle went pretty sharpish but at the price I paid I wasn't complaining!

I've retwined 4 in 2013 already, all brand new. Theres a large Pakistani population in peterborough, many of whom get bats sent over from home. A lot of them are terribly twined, lower end ones have a fair bit of filler in the handles too.
To me they seem very dry, hence no longevity, but they do seem to fly from ball one.

Thanks for the correction.
Gul also had a SF bat with boom boom stickers

You sure? Because as far I know he too had a CA bat, could be SF gloves?
But I could be wrong..
-
In my view, CA is the best brand from Pakistan and they have improved their handles lately by using high quality glue. They did have handle issues previously and I did complain to the owner of CA who is a good friend of mine.
We sell all CA gear and are authorised seller of CA goods. As someone mentioned there are loads of fake top end CA bats.
Regards
Asad

Yeah pretty sure I saw SF on his bat, couldn't find a high quality video with the view of the bat
