Title: Shirt Sleeves
Post by: Johnny on January 23, 2013, 07:04:04 PM
So I reckon from about mid-90's onward the 3/4 sleeve shirt became the fashion. It seems however, that proper short sleeve shirts are making a comeback. Despite this, most teamwear companies still seem to supply there 'short sleeve' option as closer to 3/4 with sleeves coming to and often past the elbow. Anyone found any good suppliers for proper short sleeves? Would any of our sponsors consider altering their range to reflect the current fashion?

Don't know if they are still about but I'm sure Exito did proper short sleeves!

I have an Adidas shirt with proper short sleeves. I've been looking for super-short sleeves, ones that only come half way-ish down the bicep.

Ooooh, how short and what price?

Price largely depends on what you want? It's all bespoke, with a 'normal' shirt option either sublimated or stitched, both with a proper short sleeve. Example pictures are the bottom kit below, CAMRA CC.

Or if you ar feeling adventorous, the Castor CC style 'pro fit' is sublimated only, its pictured in the top 2 kits below and really hugs your biceps, as well as everything else!

Thought i would upload some better pictures of the kits i posted before, as well as the kit of the other club i play midweek T20 and occasional Sunday friendlies for.

I actually like the 3/4 length sleeves.  I can't stand long sleeves, and I find I'm always scuffing my elbows up with short sleeves.

I use the GN Matrix shirt, and they have a decent short sleeve.

My Sunday team use the old style Dukes shirts, which I am not a massive fan of.

For the last few seasons my club has been using Excito, for there short sleeve, long sleeve and there jumpers. Personally I always wear a long sleeve shirt weather ui'm keeping or not just the sheer fact I like the way the long sleeves looks and feel. Great for the none scuffing of the elbows to. :D
