Saw footage of Simon Katich in the nets against Brett Lee, and he was wearing a very visible chest pad. Do a lot of interationals wear them? I've never really noticed them before.
Has anyone on here ever bothered wearing one? I bought one to wear against Shane Harwood, but only wore it the once and has since been discarded.

Similar experience myself, I purchased one when i was much younger -when i just bought kit for the hell of it. I got it because i was in the county side and was facing some quickies and being a bowler i didnt really back myself - used it once before giving it away, i found it uncomfortable and distracting and nowadays i prefer to wear it......though saying that it i was to face brett lee i would go in the nets looking like a sherman tank!
I think some internationals and county players wear them - though they are probably specially made, fit well (Remfreys??) and therefore not too visible.
