Well some eagled eyed forumite spotted that i do not like going into a season without a sareen in the bag my previous 3 bought from Asad and a bloke called Knightrider have been all special and played very well indeed.
So the funny coincidence is a few weeks ago i had a choice between a SS bat with Kulaskara written on the bottom in a odd shape i have never seen from SS before a bit my Laver and the Kippax i eventually bought, but the beaver a week later saw i was after a ss and got in touch via pm and although i was reluctant after 4 days of constant pm between us both we settled on a swap both the ss custom and the plain platinum reserve for my bat.
Inital rebound on the ss is so impressive and after 8 hours knocking in today i can honestly say it is a beater and the pick up and profile are very similar to my private bin the holy grail of bats for me.
As you see in the pictures both bats weight is 2lb 8oz and you can see the difference in the two and the custom is not too dry either on touch .
My bats are now sorted out got these 2 and my b3 plus a special bat coming next week and when my mate from pakistan turns up another special but i suspect my match bats have been found.
SS Custom
2lb 8.2oz
Edge 41mm
Grains 10
Not a hint of heartwood as i got to admit not a fan.

I recommend Sareen Sports bats to anybody who has not tried them they are good very good it was a trade i did not realy want to do but in the end the custom pushed me over the edge
-
Oh forgot thanks to the lad who swapped with me I hope your as happy as iam
-
Aw man, the Kippax had to go? :( As long as you are happy though Dave. :) Wouldn't mind trying out an SS sometime soon, may ask a club member to lend me one for a net or something. :)
-
Both look like planks I'd find nearest fire
-
Fire is rather uaeful in Canada due to harsh winters so Davey feel free to send the one with decals here and I shall do the honors ;)
Jokes aside, both are impressive. I have never like SS shapes but the Kulu ones look pretty impressive I must say.
-
The SS looks huge for the weight.
Both bats look awesome :)
-
Just kidding both look nice and you seem happy which is all that matters
-
We have some very special SS bats in stock, will post photos tomorrow
-
I have had 2 very good bats from you and believe this platinum reserve le came from yourself.
As your a salesman how would you rate sareen up with the top uk brands I think Tom rates them highly
-
When u say UK brands do u mean bats made in UK like Newbery or Salix OR you mean kookaburra or Puma who don't make their bats themselves
-
The uk made bats mate sorry.
I personal think kookaburra/sg make exceptional bats and so do ss and there top bats are hard to beat for value and quality over the last 5 years I have seen a real improvement in finish and think hey hold there own with anybody's bats
Do you get many rejected pro bats through your store asad or replications of the profile of there bats
Although I do like to buy English made bats as well there some outstanding makers around with excellent selection of willow
Must admit thought the 4 pro's who brought over there sareen sport where of different profiles than the generic one used in the uk
-
Awesome looking bats.. I am always a BIG fan of SS bats. In my club, most players use SS bats. Even Garde2 performs well.

I think SS bats are exceptionally good as well as BAS. we got few special bats but they are only sold to close friends and not advertised on the forum or web site. I still have few in stock so can show you when you visit us.
As SG doesn't export to UK hence I havenot seen really top quality bats from them.
Overall i rate CA bats from Pakistan and SS/BAS from India. This is my personal view as a cricketer
Regards
Asad

This bat has been under the white tent hammer and steel hammer from work it is flying a super bat netting soon so will update as with cover drives i only have positives to say about
it mine also has similar stamps as your mate
-
thats pretty big for the weight. is the square toe becoming more prominent?
-
Used this today just eased myself and it in it plays very well need more work on the toe as I dug out a Yorker got a big dint near the toe but no crack or anything
The dangers of hard floors and new bats I guess
Overall as I was in pure defensive mode I thought the bat played well very good pick up and nice in the hands very happy wih it
-
Quality bats there Dave! 8)
-
The unbranded one is goin to be sold or traded no need for it
The private bin came out for a few today felt good so not need for too many bats I found my bats for this year now :o
-
