Hi guys,
I'm considering buying a bat soon, and one of the bats I'm considering is the Black Cat Shadow with a weight of 2.8.
If anyone here owns a 2.8 Shadow, could they kindly please take out the measuring tape and list the following specs?
Edge width (at its thickest)
Spine height (at its highest)
Edge width (at the shoulder)
Edge width (at the toe)
Location of sweet spot (from toe)
And if it's not too much bother, could they please list the numbers in metric.
A very big thank you in advance to anyone who is able to help me out here.
Thanks

Didn't you just ask the same questions about the H4L?

the thing is that no two bats are the same, this is because every cleft is different.
if you are looking for a big overdrived lump, you should say so.
the reality is that for 2lbs 8 oz bat you won't get a giant.
my suggestion is that you decide what shape you want and what, what your stickers you want, understand what your budget is then give this information to the sponsor and see if they can help you.
Think about having some sympathy for the sponsors, asking for all this information is a little nuts in my view.
having 35mm edges or 38mm edges won't make a difference to you. what will help you is getting a bat in the shape that will help you the most.
I agree that you should know where the middle position is on the bat.

I did. I've got it down to:
The H4L range
Black Cat Shadow
GM Octane F2 DXM Original LE
GM Zona F2 DXM Original
Gray Nicolls A61 1000LE

I've currently got a custom made bat from Pakistan (MD Sports), that my dad got for me. That was supposedly in the 2.7 to 2.9 range, I'm guessing 2.7, considering that my dad asked for a lighter bat.
I'd like a 2.8 bat that picks up nice and light, with a middle that is a little bit higher than my current bat. (225mm from the toe)
I'd get a Fat Bat, but they start at 2.12. The Black Cat Shadow looks nice, so does the H4L Hellfire and Hattori. I like the Tempo, but the full sized bats start at 2.10. If I got a Harrow, surely it would be lighter?

If your talking about our bats they come in whatever weight is required as the mayhem I put up was 2lb9

And that means what ?
well, it has to be one of the daftest threads ever seen on this forum, don't you think?
-
But I think what Dave has said is you seemed to accuse of him of racing to 50 posts but he's got less than 1 post per day so less than your near 4 posts a day
Yes the post would have been better as a pm or mail to the maker of his choice but live and learn let's not jump on everyone's back straight away
Peace and love brother

Well I think we can all sort of get the gist of what he trying to say in a round about way.
The lad is 14 reading by his posts and it hardly makes you want to post when people take the pee pee.
Thought it was about sharing knowledge not branding people just to get to 50 posts.
We should in courage all members to contribute new and old I understand we are guarded but let's not be overkill.
It is after all all about the bats but what do I know

But equally, it hardly makes you want to read the forum when you have to wade through so much nonsense to find interesting, relevant threads!

No bats will ever be the same given that willow is a natural product. Therefore your best bet will be to decide on a bat maker that you want, give them the rough specs you are after and let them do their best. You won't get a giant but given the skills out sponsors have you should get a very nice bat.
