-
Albion Ti22 mate
-
2012 Masuri Ti
-
Use a Masuri, previously an Albion which I still have.
-
Ayrtek
-
Ayrtek :D
-
2013 Masuri test shell with a Ti elite grill
-
Just moved from a GN to Masuri. Good decision so far.. It will be an Arytek for 2014 though.
-
Slaz elite
Basically a Masuri ;)
-
Masuri Shell and Ayrtek ti grille = the best of both worlds.
-
Masuri, purely because I managed to get a Shell + Ti grille for £40, and it was the cheapest well recommended and "safe" (at my level anyway) helmet that I could afford!
-
Ayrtek premier with titanium grille - really light and comfy.
-
masuri steel, but would love an ayrtek
-
Steel Masuri currently but i am tempted by an Ayrtek, If only my bank balance agreed!
-
Had a tweet from a retailer banging them out at £59.99 it seems at the moment for steel and £79.99 for the Ti
-
Have an ayrtek with titanium grill. Love the style.
I have used a GN Legend too and that was a prefect fit too.
-
Won an ayrtek in the cric insight comp last year but yet to wear it.
-
Custom Ayrtek Elite with titanium grill in nets.
Custom Ayrtek Premier with titanium grill in games.
-
Ayrtex when I use one

Surely that's the wrong way around? ???

Unfortunately no.
Former helmet club has closed down so it won't be used in games any longer.

Take the badge off mate

I've only used two helmets, both of which have been albion elite clubs with the steel grill. Pretty much all I need for the level of cricket I play, although I've got to say I would love an Ayrtek for my next helmet.
-
Masuri as I am now used to it.
Tried a Ayrtek, liked the helmet (very light) but could get used to it. Had a Albion Ultimate 98, but again couldn't get used to it. So back to Masuri.
-
I use the safest option so Ayrtek Elite for me!
-
Had a gray nics steel last season.
Bought a Masuri Ti in the off season, sold that so I could get
An Ayrtek premier Ti
-
I purchased a Forma Titanium helmet last month, it is the one used by most of the Indian Cricket Team.
Interestingly I weighted it with the Masuri Titanium and it was lighter by some distance.
Really comfy too as it has the buckle at the back that you can adjust.
-
I always use albion.
-
Ayrtek premier steel. Slightly heavier than my old albion, but much better visibility and feels much sturdier.
-
Ayrtek Elite with an Albion TI22 Grille as my face was too fat :(
-
masuri, would love an arytek but i look like a complete t**t in one! Just doesnt suit my heed!
-
Masuri with steel grille. Love my Masuri, its so comfy and looks great too!
-
ayrtek raw
-
I use an Ayrtek RAW. I bought the youngest brother an Ayrtek premier steel, and that helmet feels like an absolute brick! It's not actually too much heavier than my previous Albion though, but I guess it shows how used I have gotten to using a light lid. 8) If my RAW broke, I think I would have to buy another one, as I love my lid. :D
-
I've just changed to the Albion Centurion bought from Aswani sports.
I've got a large head and was unsure the Masuri would fit!
It's really good. Fits well and even with the steel grill doesn't feel heavy.
I do sweat a lot and have found that the pads absorb a lot, but if I where to be really picky I'd like more ventilation.
-
My first and only helmet bought about 4 years ago, Forma, i love the way the grill is shaped!
-
I have an Albion with Ti grill, after my Masuri one came to an untimely end (meeting the changing room floor repeatedly until it smashed after getting run out in a game - was feeling very >:() the Albion one was the only one I could get in time for a game I had 2 days later. I still prefer the Masuri shape but it does the job, and it was my own fault I don’t have it any more!
Anyway the broken lid I put in the guys bag who ran me out (Godfather style) as a reminder! We still laugh about it now, in fact he kept the lid as a memento :)
-
I use a skin coloured one, and like much like A.C.I.S it can expand or decrease depending on the situation...
-
Masuri steel, would love an ayrtek!!!
-
This season I am using an Albion with steel grille.
Cheap and cheerful lid as I probably won't be required to use it that often.
-
unfortunately, a puma, but they are pretty light and look ok but i really want a masuri elite !! :)
-
Still using my first helmet which was a woodworm had in for 7 years now getting a bit rusty though i must say.
-
Bought a raw a couple of years ago which was quickly nicked by my son :)
So i bought him one for christmas then my wife nicks the raw for her ladies cricket :o
So i buy her an elite with her name on :-[ and i have my raw back - probably in need of a refurb now but its like an old pair of shoes - fits perfectly as its now perfectly moulded to my head shape .
-
Used to have an ayrtek Raw but couldn't get used to the fit as I have a stupid head. Wear a masuri ti now and love it
-
I am thinking of ditching the Ayrtek and getting a Masuri Ti. But I am not sure if it is a wise move.
-
with updates due to the BSI standard shortly things will soon change!
-
Are you allowed to say what these changes are?
-
its probably best that i dont as yet as its not in the public domain as such
-
Will it mean a mass change of current helmets?
-
designs will have to change/evolve to enable them to pass the new proposed standard
-

I have no complaints about the couple of Masuri lids I've used, if you prefer the traditional look you should go for it. And if you're thinking of selling the Ayrtek leave it until the end of next week when I get paid
-
I've had an Albion Ti22 for the last few years, and an Albion Test Elite before that. I've just bought a new cloth covered Albion Ultimate Classic with the new style grille. I've previously liked the plastic helmets because they last longer and have no fabric that can tear etc, but must say I'm a massive fan of the new Ultimate Classic. The new grill suits me very well and the helmet is very comfortable.
-
Purchased a Slazenger Elite Helmet (basically a masuri) a few weeks ago and absolutely in love with it, much better than my old albion

Hi,
I'm looking to get one too. How are you finding the visibility and comfort? Does it have the 2013 style masuri grill as well?
Thanks

yeah mate very good for both, yeah same grill but the test style ear protection not the new style

Thanks mate. I think the Slazenger Elite is equivalent to Masuri Test with similar grills. The Masuri Elite has a slightly better ear protection grill.
-
I have a Albion Ultimate classic and bought a titanium grill on it, i really like it.
Though a lot of people seem to like masuri more.
-
Albion bought from Asad.... very satisfied before that i have a masuri but i personally prefer albion over masuri :)
-
A Pro T20 steel grill helmet !
-
Ayrtek Premier Ti Grille - slight cosmetic second, bargain from Ayrtek.

Ayrtek Premier Ti Grille - slight cosmetic second, bargain from Ayrtek.
Same, would never go back, feels to comfortable.
-
I just bought a Masuri a couple of weeks ago. Had my albion for a few years but its very wobbly now all the pads are worn out so thought I'd treat myself.
-
I think Gray Nicolls Predator Cricket Helmet is the best. because Gray Nicolls Players Cricket Helmet provides great protection, with a hyper-vent air flow system and a rounded peak design. Old school Ayrtek RAW, bargain in the current sales from SportsDirect at £125!

Seriously??? :o
He is a spammer I'm sure by the name and that post but hay I might be wrong..
On the helmets :):):) AYRTEK NOW !!:)
-
I use a GN Legend Ti tech helmet. Love it as it is the lightest helmet I've ever used. Thankfully I haven't had to test out its protective properties yet though - touch wood.
-
Currently use a GM Purist, but seriously considering investing in a Masuri keeping helmet, and doubling it as my batting lid.
-
Still have my original Albion Ti22 or whatever it was? But doesn't get much of a look in now.
Have just added an Ayrtek (Affiniti) Raw to wear in all the indoor and outdoor nets. And have an Ayrtek Elite to wear in matches.

Hi lukemannionzimbabwe!!
I just provided useful info for users nothing else
Thanks!!
-
I use a Masuri Test with a steel grill. Have had it for nearly two years now and have been happy with it. It's comfortable and has good visibility, and as I've not been hit in the head yet, that's all I can judge it on so far!
-

Useful info... You have to be kidding.
-
Just bought a Legend Ti. Tried it on in the shop and had to buy it. Have never worn a helmet that was so light.
