Went and met ANdy from Willostix on Monday night and picked up my new bat for the season. Have to say i'm pretty impressed with it. Weighs in at 2lb 11oz with 2 grips and picks up lovely. Had a few taps off the mallet and responds very nicely (has anyone ever said their bat is crap off of the mallet?)
here are some pics

I'm jealous! Lovely looking piece of wood mate.

Lovely stuff :D
-
Lovely sticks, bar the Vantage stuff - this was my favourite bat in IJC by far.
-
Yeh my current scoop bat taps really bad off the mallet

I like both the front and the back decals, but i just don't like having them together on the same bat, am I the only one thinking that way?
-
I like both of them but I agree there's something not quite right.
The engraved stuff on the face looks really good but I think someone had questioned how well it would last on a different post a while ago. I'd be interested to see the bat in a year or two and see what it looks like then.
The bat itself looks great.

i do know what you mean. i could have picked the non classic version which i really liked the look of the front decals but having had a classic anaconda before this i defo prefer the etched in look

i'll stick a picture up if my classic anaconda, its been used for two season and refurbed once and the etching still looks good although clearly not as prominent as before

the branding is top class.
If you speak with them again, ask them if they where inspired by the Shepherd Neame branding of their beer "Spitfire". They have a brewery in Faversham which I think is near the Willowstix HQ.
The laser etching on the front is pure class and I love the Spitfire on the edge and back.
"They don't like it up 'em" (please don't ask who said that, you should know!!!

its nothing to do with the spitfire branding of the beer as far as i am aware but inevitably they are similar due to them both being inspired by the spitfire plane!

All that's missing is a 'catch that Fokker' sticker. ;)

They did a shoddy job with the classic anaconda too. ie lovely etching on the front, ropey stickers on the back. Assumed they would have learned from this and got it right for 2013.

Totally agree with that. I actually prefer the lower end model with decals all round.
But despite that, this is a lovely bat with a great profile. Enjoy mate!

I liked the old school style stickers on the back of the bat personally - each to their own i guess
