Title: Classy Kit
Post by: Cover_Drive on February 01, 2013, 07:12:22 AM
There is not much talk about style when it comes to cricketers in cricket field.

So in your opinion what is a classy kit? A sophisticated, delicate, elegant kit? What items would you term as 'classy?' Barring a players abilities, what gear would make him look a stylish batsman?

I'll start off (one of each)..

Bat: Slazenger V12 (if they were brown then they would have went quite well with following items)
Batting Pads: Millichamp and Hall Distinction
Batting Gloves: Millichamp and Hall Distinction
Bag: Slazenger Pro Tour Bag (Just edges out Millichamp and Hall Tan Leather bag)

What about you guys?

Agree with all to date - gotta love the tan leather bags...

I don't mind different brands being used, but if it's going to be classy you've got to go the extra mile and ensure that colours match - and if you're bat and softs colours match your club colours then that's even classier!

Also agree for the true classy, timeless look you need to be sporting a traditional cap.  Helmets are so vulgar  ;)

I just love the look of minimalistic kit, which is why my kit is:

Bat: Blank Willostix slugger (and had got 3 blank Willostix Anacondas)
Gloves: Gray Nicolls Legend (2013)
Pads: Gray Nicolls Legend (2013)
Wicketkeeping: Gray Nicolls Legend gloves(2012) / Newbery aegis pads
Helmet: at present have got masuri Ti but am awaiting delivery of a new masuri Ti wicketkeeping helmet with club embroidered badge

If you couldn't tell not a big fan of lots of colours, just mainly white is what I would call classy
