My mate decided to remove a sticker from the edge of his bat, pretty big sticker, but has left some sticky residue, me being the brain of Britain I am thought I could sand it off, however its still there.
So what I'm asking for is, can anyone point me into the right direction as to getting the sticky residue off and giving the bat a good finish?

Scrape it with a credit card. Though this may not be possible now you have sanded it.
Soak a little bit of white spirit into a cloth and rub it off is your other option.
Once removed, sand it with two or 3 different grades of sandpaper, getting finer with the grit you use as you progress.
Use some salix bat wax or similar to buff it to a nice finish.

I giving it my usual beeswax clears it off apply it leave it for 5 minutes then simply run it off

I use the edge of a sharp knife along the grains, but angled backwards.

Turpentine will take it straight off

Cheers for all the help everyone! Used a credit card to scrape most of it off, now to white spirit it to get the rest off before a little bit of sanding before a oiling! Thanks again everyone :)
