Post by: rp27 on February 02, 2013, 06:33:50 PM
Anyone seen this? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lgTRK2c6SBI&list=UUFRIjcS-KzN1kSrB3ncLsTQ&index=3 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lgTRK2c6SBI&list=UUFRIjcS-KzN1kSrB3ncLsTQ&index=3)

I'd get it if it was 7lb 10oz, just a tad over my ideal weight....

It's geared to hit the batting specific muscles but I'm pretty sure all it'll do is kill your timing and bust up your wrists. Would anyone even be able to use it with proper technique? For me these bats should be like 4lb max

Absolutely ridiculous, although it would be class if someone could swing that bad boy

Edges wider than the face ... this got me thinking a bit ... make a bat with 60mm face, 120mm edges, then play with the edge ... any law against that?

Josh went to BBL match and gave one of the bats being talked about to Chris Gayle and he took it away with him. I think he is doing a good job for such a young chap.

That's true but gayle wouldn't be allowed to use it so what's the point? Probably just took it to make a fan happy...

and he's consuming it at a decent rate, 2 or 3 clefts in a bat. Getting rid of Kashmir can't be a bad thing can it!

It becomes a problem when the kids bragging end up destroying their wrists just by picking up the bat! :-[ Personally, I feel than 3-4lb is more than enough to help you in your batspeed!

He says the bat will improve your technique but I think it will either brake your wrists or will make your technique worse.

His was around 4lb wasn't it? From what I remember. I don't think it was as heavy as most of those

I second this. Lower back brackets might be over -worked. its too much weight away from the body trying to set itself free - honestly not recommended. I am bit of a muscle-head but trying to train your body movements with this will neither help technique nor the body.  Better off with squats, bench presses and resistance bands.

Just my 2 cents.

Lol
Step 1 - Buy a Chainsaw, a handle and some PVC glue.
Step 2 - Cut a big fat tree and cut SH length log.
Step 3 - Stick that handle to the log.
Step 4 - Bring it home
Step 5 - Admire it everyday while it stares at you from the showcase in your room.
