Post by: Number4 on February 06, 2013, 10:36:36 AM
Watching Aus v WI tonight and Andre Russell was using the following Puma bat... Or is it a Mongoose?

Wrong shoulder shape for a 'goose, i presume it's probably from the same place as his 'pumas'!

When WI were in England didn't they visit the Newbery factory/warehouse and pick up all kinds of gear? this could a be a TT as mentioned in earlier posts that was stickered up as Puma..

Looks like a Mongoose grip on it, too short to be a TT - but not sure it's an MMi3 either

Looks to be two inches shorter. Can't really tell whether the splice is rduced in size as that would give away Mongoose.

COR3? that would fit the size criteria although the shoulder don't look right...or just an attempt to reduce weight on a normal sized bat that he maybe in love with?

My cor3 looked like this...

The commentators called it a Mongoose and was talking about Hayden using it in different formats.

Looks like Russel went back to a more standard bat profile for todays game.
Perhaps too many people noticed that it didn't look like a puma...
