Title: Chris Read's Choice Keeping Gear
Post by: justnotcricket86 on February 08, 2013, 01:12:51 PM
Afternoon Chaps,

As you know, 97no and myself have a thing for keeping gloves. Was looking at all the vintage gloves he was picking up, and long story short, I was out in touch with this mysterious Mr C who get's sent these gloves from various contacts he has.

These are Chris Read's keeping gloves, also picked up some of his whites and Choice keeping pads, but can't really take pics of them in the office!

They are simply bloody brilliant, soft as you like, look the nuts, and can't believe how cheap they are! Safe to say this man is going to get a lot more of my business. He also like a chat (rang him up and 45mins later, we are still talking about webbing and watching SA play)

Enjoy :)

No he doesn't make them mate, there are a few chaps dotted around the country like Wymer etc who repair pro gloves, and he get's a load sent on. Read had 3 pairs of these, kept 2 I believe and these were passed on

Was passed his details by a chap from here, called him and asked what he had and got these. Recently had a pair of Foster's Warsops but I missed out on those

A better fit for who? I'm assumin you've tried both gloves then?

Do find it quite funny that you say a glove has better cupping when you've not worn the ones I have, which actually cup very naturally. Bore off

I think Dean is in a good position to compare, as he has close ties with choice cricket. So he would have tried them both on.
