Title: New mobile site
Post by: tim2000s on February 16, 2013, 10:40:26 AM
As I'm sure some of you will have noticed, we've put a new mobile site in place to make it easier to use from your device of choice.

This is for a test period, and dependent on your feedback, it may stay. If you prefer the standard site, it can be accessed from a link at the bottom of the new mobile pages.

The sponsor ads don't fit on the screen, it has the twitter follow button and then half an ad with the rest off screen

I don't think it is the server. I've been playing with it on phone and laptop for a fair amount of the morning, and not yet seen the type of issue you've run into.

Yes, aware of this one, and may need some fiddling.

That's a limitation of the mobile site design.
Prefer the standard site!
Still accessible and once you've selected the standard site, dependent on device used, it will stay on it.

I get this all the time on my mobile and iPad, so I'm not sure if its the mobile site.

I like the mobile site idea and I'll certainly look to use it on my phone, just a thought though has the idea of a CBF app been discussed rather than having 2 different sites?

It's not really two sites, just reformatting for mobile devices.

An app is a possibility, however, we can't use Tapatalk due to the software version, so an app for each of Android, Apple and WinPho would be needed.

I'm going to give the mobile site a chance and see if I can get used to it.
Am I only only one that thought they had gone to Cricket Insight by accident??

Really not a fan of mobile sites, half of the content is usually missing from them. Technology is good enough to be able to support full websites, so there's no need to have these mobile sites personally.

Definitely a good idea. Maybe go back to black/red colour design? Thought I'd accidentally gone to a different site!

No issues so far though

Currenty using it on the ipad. Very easy to use, navigation is good. Looks better than on mobile.

Everything fits on the screen, looks clean and tidy. Possibly nicer than the site when viewing on ipad

I think it will work very well on Tablet PC's, not so well on phones due to screen size

Thanks for trying to make a mobile site. I have to say that I prefer using the old style site but that could be its what I'm used to. Will keep working on it to see if it becomes more familiar.

How to u revert to the mobile site from the full version and vice versa if u wish to swap between the two formats?

There is a link at the bottom of the page to take you to the full site from the mobile site. On windows phone, the only way to get back to the mobile site is by deleting your browsing history.

I haven't tested it on Android iOs, but I wouldn't be at all surprised if the behaviour was the same.

If u shut down the window on iPhone and open it up in a new one it reloads to the mobile site again

I can get on the site using my tablet and laptop but when I'm using my phone it comes up with the page has too many server redirects? Any pointers?

Some messages don't open. Have to go back to the old site to check these. Amy idea what could be the problem?

Afraid not. When using your phone, is it on wifi or over the phone network?

Not sure why. It isn't something that I've seen happening. What i have noticed is that the messaging function works slightly differently, but that may not be the problem.

It's exactly the same as the insight one, I sent them the code base.

It's a great addition, and am surprised so many don't like it.
