Title: Handle
Post by: thedon on February 24, 2013, 09:50:19 AM
Was netting yesterday and I noticed the sticker at the back of the bat had a crack across it. Peeled the sticker off- without lifting any of the wood off and noticed the following..

It seems that one piece of wood on the spice is lifting. Would like your opinions if this is a manufacturing fault and if it will have any effect if I carry on playing with it.
This was brought less than a year ago  and its had a maximum of 15 outings (including nets)

Its alright mate if im honest you could always just give it a quick sand. just looks like the handle was pulled off poorly when it was shaped

Shouldn't have any impact on the bat or the handle. Have done this before a few times and I would say its purely cosmetic.

looks as if the cane has splintered a little when the slickers were removed.
give it a little sand and when you put the new stickers on it will be right as rain!

I agree. Most likely a gouge rather than a split.
