Bulldog Cricket

After a good start to the season I was looking for a spare/reserve bat for nets and any games that meant I didn’t have to use my Fusion Superbest. It was an expensive bat and I wanna make the most of it. So wet nets or wet friendlies it can stay nice and snug in a warm bag.

Kieron from Bulldog got in touch with me offer ing me a reduced price from the internet shop they have (just google bulldog cricket). With being in need of some pads and gloves as it has been a little while since I bought new ones I thought I would see if I could get it all from Bulldog. I was offered a great price on the lot and decided to go for it after reading all about the company.

I went for the Basher, asking for it to be 2,10 with heartwood on the outside edge and as many grains as possible. I was never sure about Heartwood on a cricket bat, but after reading many articles on this site I thought this would be a great time to give it ago. Despite Kieron knocking of money for the bat, he was very willing to try and follow my wishes. Well how happy was I when I got the package only a few days later?! The bat looked awesome with about third heartwood, and very close grains. It is a lush bat and not pressed to hard either. The mallet pings of the middle, so it seems like a fantastic bat. Just gotta knock it in and get it played with now. I will feedback more when it has had a few knocks.

The pads and gloves are lush. They fit very well and I had forgotten how soft new batting gloves felt! Both feel very well and reassuringly padded, yet are very light and I think they will be a pleasure to wear while having a knock.

I have had superb service from Kieron and Bulldog cricket. There good seem top notch and I can not wait to get out there and trying them in the heat of battle. I would strongly recommend that at least you do it visit the website and have a look for yourself

10 outta 10 for Bulldog

Cheers guys

Not to keen on the heartwood like that but apart from that it does look nice. Also like the stickers, pads and especcialy the gloves, they look lovely.

Love the stickers, however I'm not too keen on the grains tbh.  If it plays well than that is what counts!
