Just been watching the England vs New Zealand game and was just wondering what the numbers represent below the badge??

Every player who has played for England (or any other nation) gets a number. So if someone has say the number 625 under his England badge then he is the 625th player to play for England.

SA have only started theirs since 1995 or whenever it was they re-entered the world after their ban.

It's the next player to represent England, e.g. if Anderson was 399 and Finn the next he would be 400.
