You've nailed it mate spot on! Would you pm me how much a light cleft with good grains in the same profile would set me back mate?
Cheers
Tony

Looks about right for a 2.10oz finished bat.  What makes his a low density cleft?

Finished weight is 2.9.7 with a thick half moon grip. The bat is easily the biggest I have made so far, the edge max is pretty much constant through the middle, toe has bit left thicker than normal and lots of wood at the spine near the shoulders.

Stunning bat mate, all these other batmakers can't compete with your pyrotechnics!!!

I'm still confused,  did you buy this cleft as a low density cleft? Different clefts have different initial weights but I wouldn't class the lighter clefts i get as "low density" so I'm just curious.

Yes Ryan, I do request light density clefts as my first preference.

Do you know what the part made weight is when they arrive?

Not sure what the confusion is about... hopefully following example will clear the air about light density clefts:

What's the comparison showing? Two different pieces of willow in two different shapes so very hard to compare size vs weight.  Also aren't they both "low density" willow?

I'm just very sceptical about the term that's all, as I said earlier you do get different clefts at different weights but I wouldn't use that phrase that's just me.  I just wondered when does a light cleft becomes a low density cleft,  what's the difference between them? Aren't they the same?

Nice looking/ finished bat by the way.

I've always been a fan of Kohli's profile, top work again. You've definitely got the knack for podshaving.

Looks great but the edges of the bat look very sharp. Has it been pressed much or will it need knocking in completely?

Another nice bat Sudeep. How would you describe this profile? is it similar to a standard SS? bat looks very nice and chunky and I am glad you are sticking to squarish toe :)

Thanks. It is probably because of the flat face.

You are right Tushar as SS makes Kohli's bat the difference being much less concaving and higher spine as compared to usual SS.
