Right had this bat about a month it has had over 15 hours of knocking in i did not like the initial shape so i decided to "REMOULD" and this is the finished article.
I will put the original pictures up later but it started life as a 2lb 11oz bat...
Now it is a fully customised Bespoke Custom Bat with the new "REMOULD" as which i like to do.
Stats
2lb 8.3oz gripped and snickered.
edges 42mm
8 grains.
taps up much better than any bat i currently own bar 1....
Thanks to Ryan Kelsall for the livery and the bespoke nature of me being there whilst he "REMOULD" the bat..
Not overly concaved either there a tad but it is a big lump still...

Looks superb mate! Was this the one that had the nail in the handle?
-
Is it the one you told me you were getting reshaped mate? If so I won't guess :)
-
nope that going to be for sale very soon along with all the other not to be used bats
Tom it looks better than it did...
-
SS isn`t it...
-
Looks stunning mate, top work by Ryan again as per.
Is she going to get a look in alongside your B3?
-
No idea, another kippax? The scuff on the toe needs sorting tho. Looks good.

nwilliam12 i told you didn't i....
Well Tom intial tap means it is currently the best tapping up bat i have and the pick up well it me to a tea because we spent a hour and a half doing it so the balance pick up is spot on.
The bat came to me quite battered on the back through poor courier care but it looks even better in the flesh..
Look out for my bat sale tonight hopefully i only keeping 2 bats this and my b3....
Come on Rob look at the willow

well 3oz of wood later impressed it feels no difference in terms of performance to it did before the "REMOULD" but i think bar actually starting the bat from cleft this is as bespoke as you get.
I advice anybody who has a bat that might be a tad heavy or feel not quite right to see a maker to have the treatment it cheaper than buying a whole new bat and losing money on your current bat and this is one advantage of a proper batmaker
Is the bat a true custom bespoke i think it is..
-
8/9 straight grains and looks great. Just the scuff sheet on the toe would drive me mad.
-
i will but a slither of tape over it as i do with all match bats..
On another note i tapped up my 16 year old bat a real custom bat from a yesterday and me and ryan both though it could be used in a match today..

Good advice.
It's much easier to be a pedant with too much wood.

Yeah, I think that the service is a true custom bespoke one, as you were there, and the pick up was altered to YOUR OWN specifications. In terms of the bat itself, you did pick it, so I guess it does fall under the category as well. :)
-
Chad i did not pick it i saw pictures of it..
I like light bats but like a certain pick up feel and if iam totally honest i have never ever bought a bat i was 100 per cent happy with not even my favourite bat in the beginning, this is the only way to get it spot on i think or like i have bought one from scratch made infront of me before but this was difference i did look at weight but the pick up was more important than a set dead weight..
I got lucky very lucky with my b3 somebody almost read my mind what i wanted remoulded and with this i just kept swinging and ryan kept whittling till i was happy.
I do like machine bats but there will always be a place in my bats for a good honest maker....

Its a massive bat for the weight, taps up well too.
Glad your happy with the new shape/ weight and pick up. Just hope you don't score too many against us in the summer :p
-
Nice work Ryan, really nice finish to the bat..

Ryan which is honestly better in your opinion this or the ss i showed you not the rehandle.
Also the rehandle is top work cheers mate

It's a hard one that Dave, I love the SS it's massive for the weight but I think the KG is pressed better, well certainly taps up better.
Let me know how that KG performs in the nets.
No worries, happy to help!
-
I think the kulusakara is too stiff in the handle for me...
-
Not sure about the make, but looks a great bat!
-
Top work, Ryan! I've tried a couple of these. It's hard to know where to take the weight off of a finished bat and still leave it aesthetically pleasing. 2'8" with 42mm edeges though? Must be hollow! ;)
-
It is not as concaved as you think ask about performance it has it.
Talk about moisture I wouldn't know it was finished very well pre and post.
The middle is massive I think both this and my Ss will be hard to beat by any bat in the same weight category
The finish on the kg was strange very strange almost too good
He had the experience and I told he then said what he thought was best and he just did it.
Talk about involved at every level but in the end of the day he knew best and I think the result is there to see.

Are you sure this is not just a shameless plug for Angry Birds, Tetley and Gillette? ;)
