The third clip, the first minute.
Two thoughts.
1) You don't need to play at many of the deliveries.
2) When you face-up, your bat face is 'closed'. When you bring it down it's like Greame Smith. Twist the bat until the face points away from you. When you bring it down it will be more square to the wicket.
I hope I explained that Ok.

Does your grip feel right to you??
-
your hands seem to go quite far away from your body and result in you playing out to in, and therefore your connection isnt as clean as it could be, really try to keep your hands dead behind you, or just over middle and off.

It does to me mate however reds asked me the same thing :o

Ok mate ill bear that in mind and try it out Friday :)
Cheers mate!

Last vid you don't seem to move your feet at all towards the all. Your not getting in line with the delivery and therefore playing away from your body. Try and get in line with each delivery, and play under your eyes rather than away from your body as that's when you loose shape and control. "Keep tight"
Hope that makes sense.

The first vid your doing what I used to do. Basically your hitting from inside out when driving the ball. What you need to do to counter this (its worked wonders for me btw) is to look at the following...
Bat pickup point - your initially picking you bat up at backward point and then rotating round and down, you need to lick the bat up closer (maybe second slip) this will bring the bat down straighter and help.
Also you seem to have a closed grip. I'd recommend that you open it a little so your thumb and finger line up with the back of the splice.
This should do the trick...I'll try and get a new vid and old vid of me batting to highlight the changes I've made.

That would be great mate :)
-
Ryan it will be used against you my friend
-
Oh, and try and hold your position when you've played a shot. That will be a good indicator when checking balance.
Maybe get your mate to "pretend" feed now and then (go to put the ball in and stop), this will check that your getting in position (in line with the ball)

Not fussed dave, I know I'll get nowt against you anyway lol
-
You will mate had a bit of a hit with the bat mate...

From just watching the first video id say your hands are a little too far away from your body so as your trying to bring the bat through straight your actually bringing it down towards mid on... try to tuck your hands in a bit more and bring your bat from first slip instead of gully.

Just curious...what speed are those balls being bowled at by the bowling machine?

65mph so not fast really

You are still wrapping that bottom hand round the bat :(

You are still wrapping that bottom hand round the bat :(
I'll have to get that sorted ASAP mark :(
-
When you drive, get your hips moving through the ball. You are trying to get all the power from your hands which will throw your balance off.
Its like trying to hit a golf ball too hard. Its a whole body movement.

Here's a clip from today:

Try cutting a squash ball in half and taping it to your right hand glove on the inside 'heel'. Should stop you being able to grip the bat so hard with your bottom hand. I'm sure I heard this was something that Adam Gilchrist used to do from time to time.
-
some nice shots and the stance is looking a lot better
bottom hand still looks a bit off but one but at a time.
Try batting on leg stump for one net, see how it feels.
watch the videos on the first post and watch this one ... you can see that you have improved ......... especially stance and backlift.

from watching the 1st 3 vids then watching the last one I would say well done!!
my comment about the 1st three was that you appeared to be just wafting at the ball and not playing with any commitment or purpose. but after seeing the last one that has all but gone, very solid and playing your shots like you mean them!!
great improvement in such a short time frame. nothing technical from me as im usless with the bat but I can see your confidence has improved immensely.
well done!!
however being bowler I would love to bowl at you. just the type of challenge I like!!

What kit are you using tony?

What kit are you using tony?
Salix bat
Masuri
Stretton fox thigh pads
Lorimers pads
Lorimers gloves
However this year I've got kookaburra pro gear just don't want to ruin them when training

A massive improvement from the first video. Keep working at it.
Just a couple of observations, firstly you look like you're batting on middle or middle and off. Might be worth opening up to leg or two.
Keep grooving those shots and your muscle memory will take over.
