Hello,
This is my first post here.
I am confused what type of inners I should be buying , I currently use Slazenger Ultimate Wicket Keeping gloves with cheap kookubura cotton gloves. I need something with more protection . I am techniques aren't the best at the moment (working on it) so I end up with lot swollen fingers sometimes.
What about Areo P1 ,any alternatives out there?

I have the aero inners, but removed the grip off the little fingers as they take some getting used to of getting them into your glove.
Quite a few people wear 2 sets of inners?
-
I struggle finding inners with enough protection but not too 'bulky' inside my glove so I can still feel the ball. I usually wear two thin pairs, find that works for me.

P1's

Have just invested in 2 pairs of these 1 for training and 1 for matches, was a bit of a hassle getting hold of them though had to order them directly from grays at a cricket show as no where seemed to stock them.

The above GN's are good, also have a go with the Puma full chamois. Very comfortable and not too bulky inside the gloves.
-
I find padded chamois best, either cotton backed or full chamois

I use a chamois/ cotton inner and cust the tops of the top third of each finger. I find that give me the most comfortable feel and flexibility.
Puma or Newbery inners are the best I have used,
-
ive got the Areo 1's love them :D
not used them in a game but use them indoor etc
and i cannot rate them enough! my hands never hurt anymore
-
I've been using a smashed up pair of chamois inners from V-Sports, holes cut off the thumbs as well...seem to be lucky for me these days but they could end up walking to the bin if I don't replace them soon.
Probably going to pick up some puma ones as they seem to be decent enough

Has anyone used the Aero P2s before? http://www.itsjustcricket.co.uk/wicket-keeping-c11/senior-wicket-keeping-c12/aero-p2-kpr-wicket-keeping-inners-p16 (http://www.itsjustcricket.co.uk/wicket-keeping-c11/senior-wicket-keeping-c12/aero-p2-kpr-wicket-keeping-inners-p16)
These look pretty good to me, but the P1s have actually outsold them by about 20:1 (at least in our experience). Just curious to know how they're that much inferior to the P1s??!!

I find it awkward when inners come out when trying to remove keeping gloves , I cant see any velcros in P2 . This could be an issue for me.
In the end I went for a pair of P1's .
Thanks for input guys

Kookaburra do a pair of inners that have extra padding on the palms and the tips of the fingers, they're pretty decent got them for around a tenner of ebay, most kookaburra inners have the same padding layout!
-
I use a pair of thin chamois inners under my gloves and as I'm right handed tape the cuff of the right inner so when I remove the glove the inner stays on.
It also depends whether you like to feel the ball, I find too thick an inner makes it feel like I'm wearing boxing gloves, okay a descent quick will hurt a bit but not much
-
I may be biased but the Salix inners are excellent, excellent padding if that is what your after
-
I ordered some bits from morrant and the service was rubbish so they gave me a free pair of cotton inners. Nice but a little thin. I've bulked them up with the aero catching gloves over the top and love them. Extra padding on the palm area but nothing too bulky around the fingers.

I'm in the market for some new inners and I'm really keen to get ones with a full chamois thumb.
I prefer the normal half chamois inners but find I usually end up with the thumb twisted so it's half mesh, half chamois. Can be quite sore!
Anyone?
-
Rich, try the Aero catching gloves.
-
Rich, also try the puma full chamois inners

The P1s use a higher quantity of materials plus have Velco wrist securing rather than the P2's elasticated wrists. The P1s have more segemented protective sections whereas the P2s use larger sections of protective foam. Quality wise the P2 is designed to be as good as anything else on the market and as usual the P1 is out there!
This is a picture of the P1s
