Title: GM Gloves
Post by: justnotcricket86 on March 20, 2013, 09:01:25 AM
Morning All,

Looking to get some GM gloves to match my pads, and was wondering about people's impressions? I know Buzz decked himself out in GM last year and am pondering to get the Original or the LE's - aware only the LE's have pittards though? Owzat have 2012 stock as well so a bit cheaper as well.

Any views?

Both are lovely gloves (not cheap at normal prices though). As you say only the L.E.'s have pittards.
It depends really if you want shark tooth (original) or sausage (L.E.'s)
I have used both types and liked them (funnily enough!)

Generally prefer the split type gloves like my Hawks.

To be honest, may just get some SAF ones...oh the torment...

I bought the original LE (2012 model) and original LE d3o (2013 model) gloves this year. Not had sausages gloves since the 1980s but like the look of the 2012 original LEs think they look classier than the 2013 model. The 2012 original LEs are really comfortable as they are pre-bent but the original LE d3o are not anywhere near as comfortable - no splits not as pre-bent and generally much stiffer. The d3o are now my net gloves which is a bit of a waste of £60 gloves but a lesson learnt for me. Not tried the original model as I am not a fan of all of the black.

Must say I like the look of the Salix Pod Players Batting Gloves someone put up hear the other day, would give those a thought if you want split finger gloves.

I swear my life by GM Original LE gloves (alongside Salix Pod Black).

Arvind has some GM maxi original gloves at a great price, you too can be like Marcus Trescothic!

and the only difference is the yellow, they would be in my bag if I needed more kit...
