Hi guys,
Cricket socks is something I haven't taken much notice to in the past and I am now interested in what people wear.
In the past, I have just wore pretty basic sports socks but tempted to try out some cricket ones. What do people recommend?
-
I used Puma for a couple of years mate, and they lasted me a while. Just about to invest in some Kookaburra ones though.
1000 Mile and Horizon seem to be popular amongst the pros
-
I wear walking socks.
Cost £15 a pair but it's worth it.
I used them by mistake a couple of years back and have never looked back (or down as the case may be).
I also use them in the gym, so I get my monies worth (Grandfather from Yorkshire you see).
-
I use 1000 Mile socks and they are very comfy.
-
i tried GM and woodworm then found 1000 mile and have never looked, much more comfortable by far
-
Horizon for me.
Oh and cheapo Slaz ones when the Horizons start to hum...

Looks like my feet are missing out on some comfort!
-
1000 mile most the time but I've used the nike cushioned running socks too and they're a good substitute especially if it's a warm one!
-
compression and running socks are in general quite thin and wicking type material, not necessarily a negative just something to keep in mind if your thinking of trying them. where as the traditional horizon and other brand cricket socks tend to be quite thick and woolly.
-
my post was more a micky take. who buys 50pound socks!
-
All about the SportsDirect Slazenger socks. Couldn't go wrong at £2 a pair, might think twice now they've gone up to £2.99 though :(
-
i've got a pair of £45 socks, not that i bought them a friend who is a serious runner did and didn't like them so handed them over. the do a good job but would never pay that much for socks, i felt robbed when i paid £10 for my 1000 miles
-
Gray donnay socks 20 pair for a tenner mark grey from sports direct

Are they as cheaply made as the price suggest? Not sure I can justice spending £10 on one pair of socks.
-
Slazenger Sports direct specials.
They are comfy enough.

They're surprisingly good for the price, or I just had low expectations. Either way I'm happy with them
-
Horizon are great, not had the top ones but the cheaper version are brilliant.
I can add another vote for the £2 Slaz jobs from sportsdirect too. Might not last as long as Horizon but comfy still
-
nike ones £10 for 3 pairs
-
Champion from sports direct-£5 for a pair of 3 socks, real comfortable and surprisingly good quality as well! Would recommend them to anyone
-
I got a pair of walking socks that are longer then these from sports authorities they are great:

Nike cricket socks are the best on the market in my opinion those and the kookaburra socks are the onesi have used for most of my career.
