Where are their bats made?

That's a lot of money for a 'non-cricket' brand.

I reckon this will be at least 50% off by end I this season, stupid price especially as I do t think many players will have Trott as there role model and will want to emulate him.

They're better priced at Allrounder in Leeds, £299 for the bat, £56 for the pads and £40 for the gloves. There's a 10% off next Saturday in store as well.

Still won't be buying any of it though.

Would be interested but not only is my current job better but the 'unsociable hours' have no appeal to them. Still, Wilkie might be interested :)

I will eat one of these bats if a CBF member actually pre-orders one, but as they say, there's no such thing as bad publicity, so what the hell! http://www.itsjustcricket.co.uk/cricket-bats-c17/senior-cricket-bats-c18/new-balance-achieve-cricket-bat-p638 (http://www.itsjustcricket.co.uk/cricket-bats-c17/senior-cricket-bats-c18/new-balance-achieve-cricket-bat-p638)

I'd like to see you do a review of bats in a similar price bracket in comparison to the NB sticks when they arrive Paul :)

Good idea, Tom, cheers! A £300+ bat comparison review would be interesting, and we've built up a fair collection of those recently.  By then we'll have the M&H bats in too, so should be quite interesting...

Would like to know how they compare to Affinity and Hammer in particular

I'm full of good ideas Paul, you should know that by now ;).

But in all seriousness it would be good to see how they stack up. We could all giving them rubbish for producing a bat at that price, and for all we know it may be they are unbelievable bats

To be honest, I've liked what I've seen so far, at least in terms of looks, finishing and pick-up, but the shape isn't exactly original, and they were about 7/10 on the mallet rebound test.  Hopefully the actual bats we pick and stock will be a bit better...

Good times Paul, look forward to seeing a video about them!

Spoke to Kenny Jackson who started the brand off over here in SA the other day and he confirmed that bats and softs were all Sondhi made. By looking at the softs and bats I think they have skimped a bit on top end materials and finishing in order to get to the correct price points so they can get stocked by the major retailers. Boots will apparently be available very soon and I think this will be a more competitive offering compared to the other kit.
