Oh right - What pads sit that low though ... At the moment I've just snapped the canes in mine, and do the bottom strap really loose - still looks pretty good.

its important to feel comfortable when your batting, if snapping the canes makes you feel better then fair enough, i personally dont feel the need, wearing the bottom strap loose does the job for me on my newbery sps 2's

I wear my osm kookaburra kahuna pontings very low, only about 4 inches of my boot showing, i snapped the canes in them and loosen the strap. very comfy.

i dont do it for comfort i do it as it looks good, however can hinder my running as appose to when they arw done up tight i can run faster but its more improtant to look good to me anyway ;)

So you would rather look good than score runs? Easiest way to look good is be successful!

i tried mine low in nets once but they just felt weird and i could feel them rubbing on my feet and restricting movement of my feet.
its all personal preference but imo you just look like a tit with pads that are too big on really

I find that when I wear the bottom strap of my pads very loosely, thus making them sit low on my foot, it makes them feel a lot lighter and more comfortable.
