This 2'9 Menace 700 is bloody huge and it picks up like a feather.

43mm edges in the 'powerbulge area' and even at the very top of the shoulder the edges are 20mm. At the bottom of the toe they are 25mm.
Here it is compared to a recoil 900 that also weighs 2'9.

I've seen 3lb Ultra Menace bats that are similar size to this.
£195 is our price on a Menace 700, with free delivery, anybody tempted?
I'll knock it in for free :)
-
That's bloody massive! I am certainly tempted, but with all my recent purchases along with one special purchase coming in relatively soon, this will not be a good idea! :-[

I've got a powerbulge just looking at it ;),,,whats the going rate for her?

Powerbulge receding :)....lovely bat and although tempting not right for me...

Lol @ tush
-
That made me chuckle Tush
-
Oh Tush, you menace! ;)
-
Fair bit of chunk there
-
Thats a beastt :o
-
Edges peaking at 43mm, that's really huge and weighing only 2.9.
-
How's the ping on this one
must be good for that size of bat
Last year I got a kookaburra t20 from Asad and it pinged like a dream
but then got another one from another retailer and there was much to be desired there
-
The tap up is silly, it rockets off the face. A freak cleft i guess. 1 or 2 a year pass through the shop.
-
Yeah there were plenty of ropey T20's when we handpicked ours, we took fewer than we wanted to last year as some were a bit sub-par.
They seem better as a general trend this year.

Looks a beauty that Jake, the wonder of hand picking sticks!
Hate that profile so much for some reason, just doesn't look appealing to me

You and Ian Bell it seems. No mittens for him either. Makes me wonder why they got him to use the Menace range at all.
-
I love the idea of the mittens and will more than likely try and get some in a sale of some sort when kook change the range next year. Big thumbs up for the mittens but I just don't like the bat profile at all
-
That's a huge profile....great find fella!
2'9? Looks more like a 3lb beast. I'm sure that someone will grab this 8)

this and the richochet test bat!
-
such an odd looking profile but they pick up surprisingly well!

I thought this was odd too, i think a few aussies used this range in the India series and they seemed to have different profiles too, very strange!

Can second this, very nearly bought one at Lord's but then I was reminded I already have 'too many' bats :(
-
This bat has now sold, a very lucky customer.
-
Very lucky indeed, it looked lovely! One of the most special Kooks to have passed through your hands Jake? :D
-
That and the Ricochet 1000 for the Cricket Insight Gear Test that we hosted.
Plenty of lovely bats for £100-£150 that crop up as a result of handpicking, but only occasionally do you find a behemoth like that for such a light weight.
