struggling to decide on what boots to buy for the season, I want gel advance 4 by asics but im a pace bowler and can bat
any recommendations?
-
Did you not just answer your own question?
-
no as gel advance are more of a batting boot, I do more bowling than batting
-
Have you got an ankle problem, or weakness? If not Gel Advance 4s will be fine.
-
We have these in stock - proper, old school, high cut bowling boots! Please PM if interested. Cheers.

I can recommend the adidas 22 Yds Mid 4s. from previously only using high cuts, these still give all the protection you need and allow greater agility in the field. I don't use them to bat (have a pair of gel advances), but cannot see that being a problem.
If you prefer Asics, the speed menace shoe is similar to the adidas

I open the bowling and bat at 3, asics speed menace low cut shoes is what I went for and can recommend them.

I currently use the Asics Gel 180 not out, they're decent enough shoes but I'm considering upgrading to pair of Speed Menaces like Jenko and Dill said, and perhaps even if I have the funds a pair of Gel Advances for batting. If not I'm sure the Speed Menaces will be adequate to bat in.

I'm a batsman and find the speed menace's to be fine for batting. I just needed the extra support that they offer
