Hey guys , this thread is mostly aimed at forum sponsors but feel free to answer anyway :D. Just wondering how all your bat makers got into bat making and where you all started and what made you start up a company :)? For the shop sponsors I guess we could also chuck out the question as to what made you start your shop? Just thought the replies to this would be interesting :)!

I'm only just entering the world of batmaking, but what gave me the shove was seeing so many of my team mates using poor quality shop bought bat's that they couldn't use properly or super expensive "hand crafted" bats that just don't offer value for money.
Also I like woodworking :)

I've worked as a carpenter for years now, so for me it's a natural progression of what I'm already doing as a job. A couple of Christmases ago my fiancee bought me the Wright's starter kit and I've been working at it ever since! It's a great mix of what I have to do and what I love to do and I get to legitimately write all my bat related purchases off against tax as well!

Loved the game, loved bats, loved the aristicness of the skill and craft and the thought I could make a bat cheaper then buying a brand new one
Started by making a couple of bats for myself then for players at my club and friends then last year I got the dream job at GM :)
