Title: Top strap pads
Post by: Olynam on April 02, 2013, 04:58:50 PM
Hi everyone,

When I net I tend to do so in shorts, but the top strap of my pads is quite uncomfortable. Does anyone know if you can get the pads that you sometimes see on the top strap separately, or do you have anything that you use to stop this (other than the obvious wearing track suit bottoms).

Cheers

I guess you could just get some kind of tubular fleece or cotton material and slide that over the pad.
Other than that not to sure where you can get em from.
I had the same problem but bought the Newbery Gt pads which come with the padding.

Why don't you see if Wilkie can make you a couple of covers to feed the straps through. Should be easily washable as well.

Thanks for the replies.

Not a bad idea asking Wilkie, I've seen some of the work he's done with bags, and it looks decent, think I will send him a PM.

A mate of mine wears football socks when batting to stop exactly this.
