Hey all! I'm just wondering how's everyone's pitches looking after another spell of snow last week? My season starts in little over 2 weeks! But hopefully we should start on time! Is everyone else looking like the season for them will start on time?
-
Our league are on about delaying the start by 2 weeks, can't work out if that's a good or bad thing....

Rumour with our league is there thinking about calling 1st game off as a no result due to pitches not being ready

-
Supposed to have outdoor training/first sunday game next weekend. Odds on it being a beautiful summers day... please?! First Saturday game is April 20th.
-
My season starts on the 13th, may need to invest in 2 or 3 more jumpers!
-

Fancy going down to our ground about 7ish tomorrow and having a look? After 2 days of sun and wind I bet it's a good deal better than a week ago.

7.30 and then straight to the committee meeting?
-
I've got a game that is 'definitely on' tomorrow, according to the opposition who have rang to confirm their ground is good to go...
2 more friendlies next weekend then straight into the first league game on April 20th.

No snow in Brizzle means game on next week
-
1st friendly on the 20th and the square is looking reasonable. A week of no rain has really helped. The outfield is very soft though. Looks like my maiden century will be mostly 1's, 2's and sixes.

Got our Natwest cricket force day today to sort everything out, 1st away game next week and 1st home fixture onthe 20th. With the amount of wind we've had, and hopefully with no more snow or rain, everything will dry out nicely
-
Here is a recent pic of our pitch. Still some work to do but it's coming on nicely. Fortunately we don't have a home game until early May, so loads of time to prep.

Our club has Saturday friendlies for the next three weeks...
-
This time next week I'll either be at the crease (or back in the hutch :( ) or fielding with 20 jumpers, 5 sets of skins, 6 handwarmers and some nutritional sausage rolls tucked away in the trouser pockets....

Is that a sausage roll in your pocket or are you just pleased the season's started?

Just got back from our Natwest cricket force day, pitch looks as if it will be fine to play in 2 weeks time so starting to get excited now :D
We has a couple of hours in the nets that we had just put back up, everyone looked despairingly at each other when I opened the boot to reveal I'd bought 5 bats with me... :-[

Got an M&H solution I could loan out till I get back from Honeymoon if required for those slow low tracks!
-
Got a solid 37, came in at 7 at the tail end of the innings, also got a stumping when keeping.
My back is ruined.
The pitch was a dustbowl, couldn't believe it!
