He's had it about 3 seasons and it's still got it's original scuff sheet, so I was entrusted to give it a bit of TLC.
So a bit of elbow grease, a few sheets of sandpaper and a bit of linseed oil later she is now letting the oil soak in. Looks rather nice now, will seem a shame to put a scuff sheet back on when she's dry.
The grains hidden under the scuff sheet were better than I was expecting too!
When finished I will upload the final result, but I'm rather pleased with how well it's come up.

£100 is way too steep, they are well below £50.
-
Think this was £65 3 years ago, it's served my Dad well and is a lot of bat for the money. It goes like a rocket, but I'd imagine most bats weighing 2lb14 send the ball flying

Here comes the reply for people who says CA bats are over dried resulting in a very short life. If a bat which costs 65 GBP serves you for 3 years then what else ---
-
I bet it's a gun. A guy in our team has a CA Pro 20/20 and smashes it miles. Even his flicks go for 6.
-
Ah, I was meant to say < less than, cause they were cheap as chips.
-
And the refurb is complete!
Sanded down, oiled and scuffed up, looks rather good now, if I do say so myself.

Good job
Is there a guide on refurbing a bat?
I want to get into it, and there are snippets all over the forum but is there anywhere which covers the process, the best tools, sandpaper grades etc?

This is a good article from crictech

Directly from Pakistan, they are cheaper than that.
