Condolences to the families of those affected.

Shocking, horrible news. So sad.
-
Absolute miracle that more weren't killed! The explosions looked bad!! :o
-
I just heard that a third bomb went off, what goes through peoples minds to want to bomb a marathon, I wonder how long it will be before the jokes that normally occur start to flow.
-
next thoughts is this a terrorist organisation or something smaller, but like already said shocking and condolences to all involved.
-
A great tragedy in a truly great city.

Isn't Boston the home of NORAID? I wonder how many of the people unwittingly mixed up in this (apparent) act of terrorism were quite happy to pump money into the IRA for years? Sorry, don't want to put a dampener on things. That little point doesn't change the pointless suffering of the victims or the amazing work the emergency services are certainly doing. Just think it will be interesting to see Irish American politicians denouncing terrorism (if that is what it is).
Like I said, I'm not wishing to disrespect the victims of this disgusting act in any way. The victims of terrorism are always the most innocent.

There is a photo doing the rounds which is truly shocking, but it shows what people find in themselves in times of need it makes you proud and humble to be human but on the other hand ashamed of the absolute savages that could do this.
With the London Marathon next week it will be a very strange atmosphere im sure.

I'm guessing security at the London Marathon will be ramped up because of this.

This is truly scary and shocking. Some of my co-workers were planning on running in the marathon needless to say we spent yesterday texting around to find out how they were...they are ok...

Shocking events. I read a great quote on Twitter - "If you're trying to defeat the human spirit, marathoners are the wrong group to target..."
