Hello all.
Right bit of advice needed. Young chap at my club has a dodgy left wrist after breaking it a couple of times within a month or so. He is a RHB and as such needs a very light bat, I am thinking 2'6 or 7 with a good pickup. He's mainly a bowler but would like an OK piece of willow and not the hideous £25 kookaburra CCX he currently owns, for when he does bat.
Sussex seems to be pretty devoid of decent independent Cricketing retailers.
My question to the forum is - without him having to go and drive anywhere to try something -
What's the best option for him getting a bat around that weight or are there any retailers on here that might have something for him. Or perhaps any bat makers who could make him a blade of lower grade and that weight for £100...?
Big asks I know - but appreciate any input anyone has.

Academy GM Icon 707 or something of that type?

A good place to start could be to raise the details in the 'items wanted' section?
Put in the budget and the spec of the bat required. Then, if anyone has something in that spec, it will give you options?
You may get offered nothing, but you might get a gem! 8)

He'd be able to if he could see it Pete, he's only got 22 posts :D

Hmm yeah - I thought about the Newbery 7Even but he's 5'10 doesn't really need the size, just the weight is the big issue.
Yeah had no idea it existed! Next time.

You can get most of the GM 606 bats fro under £100 , or GRAY NICOLLS OBLIVION POWERBLADE for around £100. Look for SS bats as well
Also buying from India is the cheapest option but you have to wait a long time for that . I bought a SS Torpedo about a month ago from India but it only shipped from India 4 days ago.
Cheers

In this case you might want to talk to MSR to see what they have in your weight and price range.

You could get a boom boom arrogance or signature 100 in light weight !
-
should look on ebay, theres always bats that look good but are too heavy or too light.

The GM 606 range is awesome. Try those for under 100 - the will work great!

Can an admin lock this thread please - Ryan is sorting the chap out with a custom.
