Title: Gluing and Water Mix
Post by: joeljonno on April 28, 2013, 08:55:31 PM
A number of people over the past few weeks have mentioned about watering down PVA/wood glue to make sure it gets deep into the crack.

My question is how watery does it have to be? What is the general % of each to get in the crack but still have enough glue to set properly?

Thanks in advance.

I would add 3 parts glue to one part water, that is what I use, and it seems to work well :)

I normally do around 5/1

You just need enough to make it easier to get into the gaps. Too much and it's loses its strength a little
