So for a bit of fun lets see if anybody in particular comes out on top.
Whether you have seen them play, seen a video of them playing, stats, the level they play etc etc...
Please not you must not vote for yourself
-
This will be tricky
-
Mr Purchase must be up there after his knock for Glos 2's last season in my books!
http://www.espncricinfo.com/england/engine/match/566547.html (http://www.espncricinfo.com/england/engine/match/566547.html)
Quacker second innings tho but like every great ton its always followed up by a shocker!
-
MSR Steve or Kieron have played a very decent standard
-
as has Mr Aldred
-
Christian Purchase, Aldred, Dave aka procricket would be my first thoughts.
And Luke who is coached by Mr Aldred.
-

very appropriate choice of initials there...
-
I would say Kieron, Christian Purchase or MSR Steve too. Have't we got an international on here as well? Mind you, whos that lad that wanted to imitate Kevin Pietersen in everything he did, he's been trying long enough.... he must be up there too lol.

Dave aka procricket is rubbish :D
-
Christian Purchase on that scorecard is CBF Purchase. Incredible! Custom Bats Forum's Purchase, you couldn't write it.
-
Well....I realise that he is always very quiet and possibly rarely posts, but how about THE STIG!!! Agree about Purchase, Kieron, Steve MSR and Aldred. But dismiss The Stig at your peril! ;)
-
The Stig is alright, he needs a trigger movement in his techniue before he's truly considered class however.
-
What about garretj, I seem to remember reading he'd played at a good level.
-
I've played at a good level. Don't class myself as a good player though! ;)
-
Calum (400 not out) has represented Scotland under 19s and I believe he's playing the highest club level in Scotland at the moment
-
Talking of the Stig, he is due back from Aus tomorrow... I think he will be popping down the my club on Saturday to grunt or something
-
But for me it's Nick Saunders!!! Heroic cricketer
-
Roco is decent, heard good things about Dave (procricket) and Buzz. Leonie is an International isn't she? That's got to make her fairly useful hasn't it? Mr Aldred and Mr Purchase have to be right up there.....difficult to say without seeing them all play.
Isn't Mr Buchanan down in darkest Somerset a bit useful? His stats were pretty decent last time I looked...

Ha Im sure Leonie will hate me mentioning her batting average!
Id imagine she is pretty decent though, she certainly seems to be able to give the ball a giant smack!
-
What internationals did you play against mate?
-
How did you get to represent Bermuda mate?
-
I played against most of the caribbean players who were playing 2006 to 2008. Mostly played agaisnt the individual islands.
Bowlers of note who i faced were F Edwards, D Powell, R Rampaul, K Roach, J Taylor. I kept wicket as well so got very close to Gayle and all of those others. Gayle wasnt a slogger then from what i remember.
I got a game because i worked there and was scorign a few runs so Gus Logie said why not give him a go as a few lads had retired from internationals after the world cup.
-
That is a great 'cv' of decent names. Well done for your achievements.
-
Well, 2 pages of posting and i haven't featured yet!
I'm shocked at the recall of some of the members I have netted with! Perhaps some of them have wiped the experience from their minds!
(I bet I've got the best flourish on here!)
-
Got to be Pidge (Rob Pack Cricket), he hit Jimmy Lee (first class bowling average of 13 this season) for six the other week. Don't think he's mentioned it much either! ;)

Bruce 1 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bu1tEixpa-s#ws)

That first shot is comfortably the greatest shot, ever played, to any ball, by any player, ever. FACT
-
Agreed. The pose is tremendous
-
But for me it's Nick Saunders!!! Heroic cricketer
I did get as far as the Bucks U17 Squad, and Home Counties Western Feeder - 20-25 years ago lol
Roco did play Welsh Minor Counties. Though I think some of the convicts down under are very decent cricketers as well.
-
Who is christian purchase ???

I asked Buzz about 'The Flourish' and he refuses to coach it. Missed opportunity if you ask me ;)

Hehe we see was bad against you bud but it comes back does the quality sometimes
Look at the next game mate I will take that
I suspect either keiron or Steve though once keiron scored 150 against us in the west country
-
Surely there is a young lady on the forum who is playing international cricket?
-
FattusCattus.
-
123* is unreal and to be honest should higher his standard!
-
123 is a very good player with what I saw
-
Bruce 1 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bu1tEixpa-s#ws)

I could not agree more with these 2 statements more. That is the best shot I have ever seen!
-
Better than this one Luke
If you had added in the 'fattus flourish' then that would be the best mate! :D
I still duck now when I watch that video....it literally parted Pete's hair!!!

I am not close to the same class as those guys, I got horribly found out at Surrey chap div one level, those guys have played a much higher standard than me, but thanks for the mention!
-
Awwww shucks coach - you da man!!
Still the best batsman on display at the CBF game (would help if Simmy could stay in for longer than 5 balls!)
-
But for me it's Nick Saunders!!! Heroic cricketer

-
arghhhhhhhhhhhahahahhahaha only just seen that lol

-
Most correct batsmen I've met off here is dear old Bruce as taught me a few things
Leonnie is a bowler who slogs it a little but slogs at international level so better than rest of us
-
After the way I drove all and sundry through the V at the forum net at Choice I'm surprised Iv been overlooked:(

How do you think I feel?! I started the topic and nobody's mentioned me?!!! Thought Nick might have given that I'm his captain!!! Fine leg to fine leg for him today!!!
-
good job it isn't most destructive. Although more than a bit crap I can contribute two sets of tail lights, a wing mirror, a car bonnet, an umpire and a pint of beer (the latter on a bowling green with a match in progress) - those were the days... :o
-
Simmy on current form
-
Got to be Christian Purchase if he's still in the Gloucestershire set up? Hit a few knocks for their 2's i remember
-
Has S_Tendulkar been on lately?
-
Simmy on current form
as much as i like to think i am the ultimate run machine haha i am not by any means the best on the forum.
I'm playing in the top div in my league but its not the strongest league in the area.
-

He's just signed for Redruth in the Cornwall Premier, scored 109 and took 4fer against his old side Truro.
