Title: Grips!
Post by: kenbriooo on May 03, 2013, 07:23:57 PM
Why is it that bat grips fit perfectly wrong 99% of the time! Put one on tonight that was always too short despite my best efforts to roll it further. It got sticky because I was trying so much that a bit of talc helped out.

Anyways moan over its on pretty well now although I can't find the black tape and the red looks rubbish!

I had this last week. Took a lot of effort but finally got it on in place. Not perfect but nearly there. Some of them are just a nightmare!

if it's short, roll it up from the bottom again towards the top of the bat and then roll it back down again - this works a lot of the time to get it to the right length.

That'd be great but I'm sure there is a roll in the house fingers crossed ill find it. As for grips thank you for the offer but I'm sorted.

This grip was fine until it got warm and started sticking, left it for a bit put a bit of talc on it and hey presto it sorted itself straightaways after that.

This just wasn't doing that, it's quite a thick ribbed grip so I don't think that helped much. Every club has one member that's the go to man for applying grips and that's me, but tonight I was very much the amateur!
