Title: Chasing after a certain Gray Nic
Post by: vibrate on May 10, 2013, 01:10:41 PM
Hey guys Im chasing down a certain model bat but i am having no luck. I'm from australia so i'm not sure if you guys have heard or seen the bat im after. I am pretty sure it was an excalibur or something along those lines I do remember on the spine there were two Dark Blue oval stickers. Was my favourite bat to use and was going to buy it off my friend until it got stolen at our local indoor cricket center. If you guys can help That would be Really great.

No that's not it. The colour scheme is like a Dark Royal Blue colour.

Sounds like the "Ultimate 750" circa 1996. Can't find any pictures though.

I thought Ultimate also. Same as what Boony, Slater and Hayden used?

No thats not it either. Umm its kind of hard to explain on how it looks it had like on each side of the spine two ovals that were dark blue. Argh wish i could remember the name of this bat.

There was a set of genuine stickers from the model you are referring to on ebay a while back. I can't find the listing, or recall the model name, although that link to the picture of the bat boony is using is very very similar.

I think it may be the Gray Nicolls Warrior? Could be wrong, but I remember knocking one in for a friend, which was orange. :-[

This is very close. Except they were full Dark blue ovals not like half ovals. Thanks for all the help guys much appreciated. If only Gray nic kept a listing of all the bats they ever made on there webpage!

As Torque says it sounds like the Sabre.  Thought of it straight away when I read the topic, my mate had one when I was younger.

Stole this photo from an archived ebay post.  It went for a massive.......£3.60.  Unbelievable.

Then you may be after the older Megapower, which looked almost exactly the same.

Have a look at this thread Vibrate:

http://custombats.co.uk/cbforum/index.php?topic=11959.60 (http://custombats.co.uk/cbforum/index.php?topic=11959.60)

The old dynadrives had dark blue/black ovals either side of the spine.  Could be one of these that you were thinking of?
