If I hadn't just bought a pair of spirits I would snap these up. Similair pad as the T2's only half the price?
-
If someone bought all the kits I was selling and these are still available I think I will be getting them!
But I don't see them lasting that long!
-
Lovely looking pads those, shame I've just bought some new pads for this season.
You going to be using this design for next seasons softs?
-
I presume you will be copying M&H gloves as well? The T series or the old style distinction?
-
very nice, a youth/small mens version for me would be ideal in 2014.
-
Yes our LE pads wll be very similar to these.
-
This design has Canners all over it haha.
Nice stuff mate

it was a joint effort, but ive always said i wear the trousers in this relationship haha
-
im a fan of them ! front looks similar to last years m&h distinctions
-
Very nice. I see affinity have bought out the same design as well.
-
Prefer the old ones if I'm honest! Don't look bad though (don't get me wrong!), especially with the weights, how much would these be at RRP?
-
Ive been keeping these quiet for quite some time now, we knew others would follow suit
we take it as a compliment :)
If you take it as a compliment, what do M&H take it as?

Have to admit that did make me chuckle...

M&H are probably annoyed that companies are allowed to blatantly copy their designs.
Seems to me that all boutique cricket kit is one of three designs.
Is anyone going to do their own design?

its very difficult to totally design your own stuff as there is only so much you can do. my items are not standard stock pads, i have tried to make them all slightly different to whats around at the minute but unless you go for something completely radical its not easy. when i get a spare 5 mins they will be up on here.
whilst i dont agree with taking a stock pad and sticking your logos on it i do think that tweaking a current design is acceptable.

not a huge fan much prefer the 2013 pads

These are in the early stages as a sample and i respect everyones opinion, but i have used these pad and are by far my favourite design of pad out there. hence why we are using them. I know no one has copied our design that was a tongue in cheek comment.......
I guess a few tweeks will be made

Why not make something close the M&H design, its stunning.
However if your going to make something similar, make it better. There is nothing wrong with making something similar if you can see how to improve it.
If this is the route your going guys I would guess its going to take a lot more work to get close to making something better.

puma do the best pads on the market by a long long way, in my opinion

I think Puma's pads are garish and horrible and I would never wear them, doesn't mean they are bad pads it just highlights how different the market place is and how opinons vary so much. Newbery Sps all the way for me however Newbery Sps style pads come in so many different forms with different badges on. Currently there are these pads and M&H pads using this style so they would be very unique in the current market.

those flex things are shocking, look like a storm trooper!
The 5000/6000 pads are the ones i like, so light i went out to open the batting last saturday with just one pad on!!

They are not as traditional as GN or GM but these MH/BB ones have a modern take. I do like these pads on this thread and weight wise they are comparable with Puma so they may replace puma as my favourite.
Im all for trying out new brands, new styles and new innovations

Fair point. I guess you are limited to what can be done, esp, with small runs.
