wasnt this the same as a GN scoop?
-
its not got the same profile as the scoop - i can get some more pics but has a traditional shape about it.

There was certainly a Brian Lara branded bat that was a GN Scoop 2000.
I've just found an image of this on Google images which shows the traditional rear. It looks as though these were made post the 501 and he did use one, although there is no guidance to the brand.

ah ok - in use its pickup is quite heavy - has a canny middle but crap everywhere else(which means its crap for me as the middle is a mystical thing never to be found during play!!)

I suspect they might have been made by GN; it might have been a special deal with Lara to cash in on his popularity and have a dedicated Lara brand rather than just using standard GN models. IIRC, there were two models in the Lara range, one was a traditional bat and the other was the classic GN scoop shape as opposed to the scoop 2000 shape. The classic scoop was longer, the scoop 2000 was shorter and didn't come so high up the bat

Lara 375 had the blue scoop?

Lara did use his own brand for awhile, Pre-MRF days.
