Title: Sending a bat...
Post by: justnotcricket86 on May 24, 2013, 12:56:51 PM
Chaps - need to send a bat off in the post. Could someone advise me the best way to do this please? Heard RM are too expensive now, and I know a lot of you use couriers like DPD and Parcel Monkey.

Cheapest and most reliable please.

Cheers

I use Despatchbay - if you're looking to send the odd bat than this probably isn't worth it as you open an account with them which the minimum spend is £60. However the price to send big items such as bats is about £7.50 which is a next day tracked courier service.

Ive used MyHermes to send a lot of cricket equipment and never had a problem and quite cheap.

But I have problems receiving parcels from MyHermes as the contractor they use in my area is a tool. Does not deliver in the stated hours and says he will return on sat but instead come on the friday and send it back to the sorting office. There is more but I will be typing for a while.

Its luck of the drawer in terms of the contractors they use.
