Title: V100 TAS - with a blemish
Post by: i12breakfree on May 26, 2013, 11:48:00 AM
Bought this V100 TAS online.
The bat pings really good and has a nice pickup. The only thing worrying me is this mark/blemish going across the face of the bat.
Can it be because if wind damage ? or nothing to be worried about ?

Will not affect performance, however for (I presume) grade 1 or 2 english willow, that doesn't aesthetically look up to standard. Unless you care about looks, I wouldn't be worried at all!

Question is will it break soon if these marks are because of wind damage.

The ping is really good though.

It's not a butterfly stain.

Best of waiting for one of the bat makers to comment and tell you what it was mate

http://www.cricketbatwillow.com/imperfections-in-willow (http://www.cricketbatwillow.com/imperfections-in-willow) not sure if this will help, it describes all imperfections of wood in cricket bats.
