Title: Worcs CCC + Fearnley Shop
Post by: FattusCattus on May 30, 2013, 11:46:56 AM
I have the pleasure of going to Worcs on saturday pm to watch a Pro40 game.

Does anyone know the ground and the shop - would I be able to buy any Fearnley gear there at all, or would I have to schlep over town to their unit?

A few minute drive or 15 mins walk from ground. Its on sheriff street, a small industrial estate by city centre. Can't say their gear does it for me, depends what you after. Hawk factory about 15/20 mins way if you driving and much better in my opinion.

Knowles http://www.knowlesofworcester.co.uk/cricket-bats.html (http://www.knowlesofworcester.co.uk/cricket-bats.html) is 5 minutes walk from the ground and the usually have a good selection of bats in there. Haven't been to the ground in a while but there was never that much choice for bats.

Knowles usually has a load of trash in it, I wouldn't bother.

Not talking 100s of bats but they have enough to warrant the 5 minute walk from the ground.

Oh had a brilliant time! what a great ground - I'd go there to see a game again. Good game, good atmosphere.

Moeen Ali looks a really good player - I'd have him in the ODI set up - Rikki Clarke don't look that bad either. Worcs are a cracking fielding unit.

Club shop was a joke - I really want the Fearnley softs, however they are opening a shop in the town where you can meet the 1st XI squad if you are in the area this week.

Agree with Moeen Ali, he's a quality batsman and clean striker and was a key player when Worcs won the 40 over competition a few years back. Don't know why he's not been in any squads, he's exactly what England lack at the top of the order. He's also a very useful spinner. Plays for an unfashionable county, face or should I say beard doesn't fit!
